Rest of the Idaho trip

After the Wedding in Utah, my family had a reunion at our cabin in Island park. We had fun playing games and even had family pictures taken.

Then we went to visit the May's in Twin Falls. We went hiking and played in the dirt a lot. Hazen has a new obsession with flowers and picks them whenever he sees one. He was mowing the lawn with my mom and started crying when she ran over the dandelions in the lawn. Too cute.

Idaho part one

The little boys and I went home to Idaho for a few weeks in June. My nephew, Cody got married in the Mt. Timpanogos temple. It was fun to go back to the place where Jed and I got married. It was great to see my brother and my nieces and nephews again. The next week we had a family reunion at my parent's cabin in Island Park. We played lots of games and ate great food. Hazen had fun playing with Kendall and Quinn, his cousins. He loved throwing rocks in the lake and going on four-wheeler rides. Jevan was just happy to be there. Jed stayed back in Minnesota to get work done of a few research papers. We missed him a lot. More to come on the second half of the trip over at the May's house.

Sorry it has been so long! I have been busy with life, but want to catch up. We have been enjoying Rochester. It is a pleasant place with a lot to do. We Love Minneapolis and go up there about once a month. Mall of America is awsome! There are also lots of water parks around, and Hazen just finished swimming lessons. We also took a trip home to Idaho for my nephew's wedding and my family reunion. More pictures of that to come. Here are some of our hike to Quarry Hill here in rochester. It was a nice day, and we just loved being in the green, green hills. Jevan liked the backpack, and Hazen hiked well going up the hill, but on the way back, he got a piggy back ride. It was just fun to be out in nature.

Pure Sweetness

I. Love. Him. He is just so sweet and happy. He is easygoing and excited about everything. He giggles if you look at him funny and is totally content just playing with his feet for a half hour. He can now roll over from belly to back and watches Hazen very closely. He wants to run with him someday I can stare at him pretty blue eyes all day. I'm in love, and he is my little dreamboat. But I may be a little biased:) My sweet sweet Jevan.

Rochester Parks

So Hazen has really had a difficult time adjusting. He still says things like "lets fly out of here," and "I don't love it here." He has been pretty whiny and stays close to me instead of just playing on his own like he usually does. I don't really think he likes to be in his room. So I decided we are going to get out of the house and see all of the parks in rochester. There is over 100 and so far each one is great. It is so green here, and all the spring buds are out. There are also rivers! Hazen loves to play bombs away. He seriously collects rocks and saves them to throw in the river or lakes. Sneaky decided to go for a swim one day. It was freezing cold, and she just jumps in the river to go get some geese. It scared me, because the dog has never swam before. She quickly got out and shivered while hazen and I finished playing. Hazen is getting better. We have gone to play groups and he is making friends. However, he introduces himself now as "Banamo Joe" and the kids just look at him funny. I can thank grandma may for that nickname. He thinks that is his name and tells me everyday "mom, I'm banamo joe today!" Here are pics of just 3 of the parks we have been to. I didn't have my camera at the best ones. I will update soon.

Mayo Clinic

Jed is really enjoying the Mayo Clinic. It is a series of 6 -10 buildings including 2 hospitals, and the major clinic. And it is immaculate. Beautiful landscaping, art sculpture everywhere, a live pianist in the clinic. Underneath all of the buildings is the subway. But there is no train, just fancy tunnels with cute shops and fun things to look at. It really is amazing. Jed works on the 14th floor of the clinic building with a gorgeous view. He is working hard and really likes his 3 bosses. He is already working on 4 different research projects. I would try to tell you what they were, but they are over my head.
Anyway, security is really tight there. Hazen and I tried to go look around, but we could not go in. You have to be on the "List" of patients that are being seen that day. And every patient gets their picture taken and given a pass to go up to their appoitments. So here are some pictures of the outside of the Mayo Clinic. The two statues are the Mayo Brothers that founded the whole thing.
I did get to go into the clinic with Jed last week, and it was fun to just walk around. The Barnes and Noble store there is pretty much the coolest store I have ever seen.

Finally a Plan

Well, the last few weeks have been so stressful. We didn't know where we were going for the next year. Jed has applied to research positions all over the country including new york city, baltimore, houston, florida and minnesota. We knew we were going to move, but not where. Finally! Mayo clinic calls Jed to tell him he got the spot as the orthopeadic sports medicine research fellow! Mayo Clinic will be a great experience for jed as he will be working with some of the best ortho surgeons in the country! And it is located in Rochester, Minnesota, a smaller town of about 100,000, which I like. I about had a nervous breakdown when Jed was interviewing in New york city. I don't know if I would've survived. Anyways, finally some good news!!! We are moving end of April, Jed starts May 3rd!!! I know! 3 weeks, I better get packing.

Easter Fun

Hazen and I really enjoyed easter this year. Jed just thought dying easter eggs was messy and Jevan was scared of the bunny at the mall. But Hazen and I made nests for the neighbors to eat, and fingerprint painted bunny cards, and dyed eggs, and hunted eggs. It was fun playing easter bunny! Jeff, Tahna, and Jade came to dinner, and then we went out and visited with all the neighbor kids in the afternoon. And of course, we made Hazen think about our savior, Jesus Christ.

Lunch, cookies, and smiles

Just a few picutures of my boys. Hazen eating peanut butter and jelly, (cute messy face). Then Hazen and I made cookies. I wanted easter bunnies, and egg shapes, but hazen decided on the "H", the "2", and the leaf? I guess easter is not on his mind. And Jevan.... That smile makes me so happy. He is so sweet! Laughs and smiles as soon as you look at him, and loving the bumbo. Still don't know where we are moving to. Have a good one!

blessing day

Randi and Tyson came to visit us, and we blessed Jevan while they were here. We went to a Texas Tech Basketball game, ate good food, and took cute pictures of little jevan in his white outfit.

Lazy Sunday

We have really had a stressful last two weeks. And on Sunday we tried really hard to get to church on time (Even at 12:30, with two kids, its hard.) But when we get to church, no one is there. Come to find out, the meeting was moved to 10:30 and the whole stake met to hear a general authority speak. Man, where was I on that one? I was at church last sunday, and I don't remember hearing that. I was pretty disappointed that we missed it, but we went home and just relaxed. Hazen and I played outside. Hazen loved seeing these new little daffodils, and gave them kisses. The neighbors cat wouldn't let us fly our kite, because the kite tail was too tempting. Jevan even came out for a bit. It was nice to slow down for a day before all the stress and uncertainty hit us again on Monday.
