Kendall's quilt

I made this cute quilt for my niece, Kendall. She stayed at the house with us while jason and raquel were in town. So I put the quilt on her little bed, so she would feel comfy in her bed. At first she didn't know it was for her, just that she liked it. Then she told me that I spelled her name wrong (she spells it KE for kendall.) she didn't quite know what initials are. KH for kendall hodgekinson. It was really sweet though. Raquel says she sleeps with it every night. I learned a lot with this quilt. I am really bad at free stitching, especially when you go over the same line 3 or 4 times to make the bird tail, or stems darker. I guess the smart people out there use a stabilizer, which I will definently try in the future. I loved working with pink material!!! The first two pics are inside before I washed the quilt, and the last one is outside after it had been washed a couple times.

Thomas the Train

While my sister was in town, we went to see one of Hazen's favorite things....a train. But not just any train. Thomas the Train. We went for a train ride and took pictures with Thomas. Then we pet animals, got balloon animals made by a clown, jumped in the jumper, got lost in a hay maze, and played with about 6 different train set tables they had. It was so much fun. Hazen loves vehicles...any type. The trains were so big he was so excited when we got up close. I would definently do that again. It was a little windy, so hazen is squinting in all the pics.

Family came to town!

My sister, Raquel, her husband, Jason, and their daughter Kendall all came to visit! Jason took his final nursing exam in lubbock while the rest of us played! Congratulations to Jason, by the way, who passed with flying colors. Kendall was Hazen's best friend. We went swimming everyday, went and saw Thomas the Train (pics of that to come,) and went to the science spectrum. Hazen just followed Kendall everywhere and loved to play and laugh with her. These pics are from our dinner at the Jazz restaurant. Jason got a whole bucket of crawfish and shrimp to eat. Hazen needed another car on the table so he took off his lightning mcqueen shoe. Very sanitary. We loved having them visit. Although the day they flew in we had quite a few tornado warnings, and lots of hail. Fun times in texas.

Cute little bunny!

We had a wonderful, easy going easter. We went to church, and then Hazen ran around finding easter eggs all afternoon. We had dinner at our house with Jeff, Tahna, and Jade. Hazen liked learning how to hop like a bunny with his ears on. During church Hazen started ending the prayers with "Christ, amen" instead of just amen like he usually does. He loves the nursery and cries everytime he has to leave sister perez and the bubbles.
