Nothing yet!

Jed moved home from Galveston on Sunday and we have been happy ever since. We have been very busy putting up christmas decorations, going shopping for gifts, wrapping gifts, making christmas candy, and visiting friends. Jed and I even went on a date! I am still working, and haven't really been feeling anything. A few contractions here and there. On Tues I was dialated to a 1 (yay:( I am getting induced on Wed. the 23rd if he doesn't come before that. Shauna May is coming on Sunday so we are ready with help (thank goodness!) So hopefully I will go into labor SOON!! I am ready! So I will post pictures soon of the nursery, jed's live christmas tree he found for 15$ (it is huge), and the new little one! No name yet. Still fighting that one out.

Merry christmas to all!

A little Depressed

I have no pictures, because I have no camera. Where did it go? I looked everywhere. I feel like this growing baby is zapping all my energy. I can't do anything productive. Hazen thinks I'm lame. I sleep a total of 4 hours a night total, mostly waking up every 30 minutes to turn over or readjust higher onto my mountain of pillows to try to keep the heartburn down, or go pee, ect. I want the baby to come, but wait, my husband is in galveston for two more weeks. I worked at the hospital on Thanksgiving, I killed one of Jed's coral in his tank. All the christmas decorations are stuck in the attic. BUT......

I am thankful that my mother in law could come and help me paint the baby room, it looks great. I have very supportive family. My neighbor threw me a wonderful shower and some of my best friends came. I have a good job that will pay for the baby. I have a hardworking husband that does all that he can to work hard and secure our future. And there are about 30 other corals in the tank that have survived. Hazen is a good boy who has a quick mind and a great memory. I'm healthy.

Why do I complain... I have so much to be grateful for. I hope its just pregnancy hormones that will go away soon......

Halloween!!

Halloween is my favorite holiday. This year we had our second annual party on Halloween night. There were kids running around everywhere! I love cooking the most, and tried to cook spooky appetizers and desserts. We had brain, chocolate covered strawberry ghosts, dracula's fingers, eyeball cupcakes, and the pear witch project. I loved decorating the house and dressing up too. I was a huge pumpkin this year to cover up my big baby belly. No I didn't get a picture of myself, darn. Hazen liked having friends over, except he was pretty shy. He was a good knight with a sword (ie. he didn't wack his friends with the sword.) Thanks to all who came to our spooky party!

Its a ..........

At the last ultrasound, i went knowing it was going to be a girl. Jed didn't believe me and just kept saying "every pregnancy is different." I KNEW it was going to be a girl. I just felt so different than with Hazen. As the Ultrasound Tech started zooming around my uterus looking at things, Jed bursts out a huge "Yes! It's a boy!" I was still not seeing anything on the screen that even looked like even a body part! The tech laughed and zoomed in on the gender! A BOY! Jed jumped around, while I sat in disbelief. Are you Sure? The tech said she was sure..... Darn I already had a girl name. Any ideas for a boy name. For now it is #2.

Jed moved out to go to Dayton Ohio for a month long orthopedic rotation. He likes it there. He works hard, and sometimes I don't talk to him for a few days, but I try to keep busy here. I got my sewing machine out and even watched football!

Vacation to Idaho Part 2

After seeing my family for a bit, we went to Twin Falls to see Jed's family. Both of his sisters were in town, and Hazen got to play with his cousins Madax, and Beckett (jesy's kids).

We went to a beach on the river to play one afternoon, and I didn't have a swim diaper, but I just let him go anyway. His little bum cheeks were so cute through his little swim suit, i had to take a picture to blackmail him later. Randi taught him to back float and grandma may helped dig out a river for his boats to float down. It was a very hot, but fun day.

Beckett turned 1 and was had a party! The pinata was quite a hit and hazen was a little confused about everyone hitting a big boot, until candy came out! Yeah!

Then we went up to the May's cabin. We did lots of 4 wheeler rides, paint balling (not with the little ones) and visiting the river to throw rocks in while yelling bombs away!! One time, Madax and Hazen were playing at the river and Madax had to go pee so we let him pee in the river. So hazen wanted to pee too (i am going to potty train him soon.) So we let him try, and his diaper was wet, so I just left it off until we got back to the cabin, but then his pants were too big! Shauna and I would just laugh whenever he would bend over to pick up a rock!

vacation to idaho

After Jed took step 2 (horrible test), we packed up and headed to Idaho to see both our families. We had a blast, and Hazen learned a lot about wild animals and camping. We had a family reunion with my immediate family. My parents just built a cabin in Island Park and so we went to enjoy the lake. Hazen loved the boat rides, 4-wheeler rides, and playing on the beach. It was so good to see everyone, it had been a while. Hazen had his first smore and we watched the sunset over the lake.

Then we went to bear world. It was neat to see wild animals so close up. We saw deer, elk, grizzly bears, black bears, and a moose. The best part however, was the rides. Hazen went on all of them even though he was too short for one of them and it looked too scary. Hazen didn't even wait for Jed, he just followed Kendall and got on! I was nervous, but he loved riding his first roller coasters.

I also made Hazen do his first horse show. He is really pretty good at riding. We did a lead line class at an open show where you dress up the rider and the horse. He won his first trophy!!! He dressed up like a knight and was so cute. He wasn't too excited about the trophy. I asked him who won the trophy and he said "chicky" (the horse). He did enjoy wacking things with his sword though!

Swimming Lessons at Texas Tech

Hazen had so much fun this year at swimming lessons. He really wanted to swim all by himself that finally we put a life jacket on him and let him kick and stroke on his own. He kept telling me to let go everytime I would try to hold him. He really could swim to the edge, or go get the toys all by himself. The instructor said he was ready for aqua tots next year! Good Swimming Hazen. And isn't tech's new pool awsome!! It has like 5 pools, a lazy river, fountains, slides, diving boards, all sorts of fun things for the little ones.

Red River, New Mexico

Our friendly neighbors were nice enough to let us go with them up to their cabin in Red River. It was a beautiful mountain town and we had a blast getting out of lubbock for the weekend. Hazen loved the trees, the rivers, the cabin, and the hummingbirds. That was, or course, until he saw the snow mobiles. We had a great time fishing, and relaxing, and making smores, and walking around the town. Jennifer and I caught the fish for our dinners, and Jed and Ray just talked about how big their fish were. Now it is back to studying 9 hours a day for Jed :( Only 6 weeks until step 2!!
