New Baby!
Wow! The last four weeks have gone by so fast!!! I still can't believe I am a mother of two and I have had the second one for a month now! Lets start Dec. 23rd at 6:00 am. Induction started, 9:30 am epidural, sleep till 2:30 pm when its time to start pushing. 2:59 pm, after 4 pushes, baby Jevan Raider May is newest member of the May family! It was a great delivery and we got to go home the next day and have christmas eve, and christmas day together! Bill and Shauna were here for christmas and to help with the new addition. They were great to take hazen on lots of outings while I stayed home and slept with Jevan. Jevan is a good baby. He is sweet and loves to cuddle. Cries when he needs something and poops a lot! He is really aware and wide eyed when he is awake. Truly a blessing to our family. Hazen is doing good. He sings mary had a little lamb to Jevan whenever he cries and really likes to help with jevans bathtime. He always says, "Jevan is a little lamb." and likes to name all the people in our family and add jevan at the end! He did forget he was potty trained for a day, and ran jevan over with a monster truck, but his loving dad disciplied him and he has been fine since. So we got snow christmas eve and hazen and jed built a monter truck ramp out of snow. Christmas was honestly very peaceful and wonderful. We had a fire, ate prime rib, and hazen patiently waited for his turn to open presents. After the may's left I was on my own for a few days, and then my parents came to help. They were brave enough to watch the boys while I flew to ohio for one of jed's interviews for residency. We were only gone for 2 days, and Jevan did great taking a bottle and still nursed when I returned. He's pretty easy going. Ohio was beautiful with lots of snow. A nice little get away. After the interview we got to go out on an actual date to a fancy dinner and a movie. I was anxious to get home though. We returned home to happy kids and my exhausted parents and spent the next few days relaxing and playing. Hazen had his 3rd birthday with a monster truck on his cake. Nothing big, but I hope he felt special. Now, I am just trying to keep things going smoothly and two little ones happy. But Jevan is sleeping well, sometimes 4 hours at night. And Hazen is pretty patient and can entertain himself when needed so we are doing good. Jed finishes a rotation in SICU this month and starts neurology in February. We are just anxiously waiting for the match in march!
