Pure Sweetness

I. Love. Him. He is just so sweet and happy. He is easygoing and excited about everything. He giggles if you look at him funny and is totally content just playing with his feet for a half hour. He can now roll over from belly to back and watches Hazen very closely. He wants to run with him someday I can stare at him pretty blue eyes all day. I'm in love, and he is my little dreamboat. But I may be a little biased:) My sweet sweet Jevan.

Rochester Parks

So Hazen has really had a difficult time adjusting. He still says things like "lets fly out of here," and "I don't love it here." He has been pretty whiny and stays close to me instead of just playing on his own like he usually does. I don't really think he likes to be in his room. So I decided we are going to get out of the house and see all of the parks in rochester. There is over 100 and so far each one is great. It is so green here, and all the spring buds are out. There are also rivers! Hazen loves to play bombs away. He seriously collects rocks and saves them to throw in the river or lakes. Sneaky decided to go for a swim one day. It was freezing cold, and she just jumps in the river to go get some geese. It scared me, because the dog has never swam before. She quickly got out and shivered while hazen and I finished playing. Hazen is getting better. We have gone to play groups and he is making friends. However, he introduces himself now as "Banamo Joe" and the kids just look at him funny. I can thank grandma may for that nickname. He thinks that is his name and tells me everyday "mom, I'm banamo joe today!" Here are pics of just 3 of the parks we have been to. I didn't have my camera at the best ones. I will update soon.

Mayo Clinic

Jed is really enjoying the Mayo Clinic. It is a series of 6 -10 buildings including 2 hospitals, and the major clinic. And it is immaculate. Beautiful landscaping, art sculpture everywhere, a live pianist in the clinic. Underneath all of the buildings is the subway. But there is no train, just fancy tunnels with cute shops and fun things to look at. It really is amazing. Jed works on the 14th floor of the clinic building with a gorgeous view. He is working hard and really likes his 3 bosses. He is already working on 4 different research projects. I would try to tell you what they were, but they are over my head.
Anyway, security is really tight there. Hazen and I tried to go look around, but we could not go in. You have to be on the "List" of patients that are being seen that day. And every patient gets their picture taken and given a pass to go up to their appoitments. So here are some pictures of the outside of the Mayo Clinic. The two statues are the Mayo Brothers that founded the whole thing.
I did get to go into the clinic with Jed last week, and it was fun to just walk around. The Barnes and Noble store there is pretty much the coolest store I have ever seen.

Goodbye Lubbock

This was the sunset the night before we left lubbock. A nice farwell gift, I suppose. We will truly miss texas and the city we called home for 6 years.
