It's a what??

At the orchard we saw a really neat bug. Hazen just called it a cat. This fuzzy catapillar was quite a sight for a curious little boy. Hazen touched it and seriously got a little creeped out, hence the last photo. That is his icky face. After the bug pooped on jed, it went on the ground and Hazen just watched it crawl away. But kept asking where the cat was for the rest of the day. Very sweet.

Texas Tech Fans

We Love Love texas tech. I really am not a huge football buff, but I really do like Tech and hope they do well this year. So far we are undeafeated!!!! These pics are from the Nebraska game at Tech. We beat them in overtime. It was a great game. My friend Tahna is 7-8 months pregnant and still walked a mile from our parking spot to go to the game! Our husbands go to the game 2 hours early to save seats. What a good time!!!

An apple a day....

We recently went to the apple orchard's pumpkin festival. We had a wonderful morning picking apples and climbing on pumpkins. Hazen loves to eat apples, and chased the other kids around. He almost fell in the fountain they had, and would not stop playing on the rocks. It was a cool misty morning and felt good to be out of lubbock for a bit. We got 4 different types of apples, and I made my first pie that actually turned out! It was yummy. Jed just finished pediatrics and starts surgery on Monday! Yikes!!!

The family photo

We recently went to have our pictures taken since jed's starts surgery soon, and will basically be nonexistent. Hazen was a little difficult and would rather explore the place instead of sit on our laps. He did like the blocks and motorcycle. More to come....

End of summer

I apologize for not blogging in forever. It has been busy in Texas. I wanted to post a few things that we have been up to. Mostly swimming and enjoying the summer. Randi and Shauna came to visit us the first of august. We had a lot of fun with them. Hazen loves his aunt randi! They were really cute together. Jed is in his third year medical school now, and has finished his rotation in family medicine. Next is Pediatrics. He also passed his step 1 board test! Yay! Hazen is a total boy now and only likes trucks, cars, trains, and dirt. And water too. He is such a sweet boy and tries hard to be good. He knows most of the letters and shapes. He grew so fast! I love this age.

Swimming!!

We did swimming lessons this year at Texas Tech Aquatic Center. Jeffrey was our instructor and Hazen really liked him. (He was a friend of randi's from last summer.) He went off the diving board and went under water a lot and loved the boat ride the best. So we got him a swimming pool shaped like a boat that he loves to play in at our house. As long as his dump truck is with him, of course.

World's Worst Haircut

Jed gave hazen a pretty horrid haircut. I came home from work one day and it was already done. I wasn't very happy. Jed said it was awsome and called it a euromullet. It was basically a wide mohawk really long in the back. Jeff helped us shave it off after a few days. Poor Hazen. At least we have pictures to blackmail him with later.
