Dad walking a boy, walking the dog
It has been such wonderful weather! Last evening we took a walk and found many neat things, including pinecones. Hazen was insistant on holding sneaky's leash which I was a little nervous about because we have one of those annoying dogs that really pulls you along for the walk. But hazen did great. He held on tight and even jumped off a curb running...and didn't fall! Good family times.
My first quilt
I finally finished my first quilt! I have always liked to sew. Once I sewed a shirt in 4-H, and have done pj pants, small blankets, ect. But I really wanted to learn how to quilt and make beautiful blankets. I picked out this fabric with my mom at Christmas time, and found a really simple pattern. Once I got all the blocks sewn together, I had no idea what to do. Then I realized my friend was an amazing quilter. Jen moss taught me how to quilt and bind in practically two nights!!! Thank you, thank you! I don't really like the ironing part, but I like the free motion stitching. I learned a ton, and had so much fun. It was a great way to relax and have some girl talk with jen. Stay tuned for my next one.....a baby quilt for my neighbor, Jennifer.
Jump n' Jungle
This is our new favorite place to go. There are 8 big blow up toys to play on! He loves to jump and bounce and fall and slide. Sometimes he gets lost in the ones with obstacles and can't get out. He is doing well so far not to lose his balance too much. We have a fun time, and the best part is the 3 hour nap he takes afterward!
Valentines day!
So I'm a little late, but we sure had fun at Hazen's Valentine's day party. Hazen made a very gluey valentine's bag with hearts and stickers all over. Later we exchanged valentines and played with balloons and toys. Hazen isn't quite a social butterfly yet, and was more concerned with getting all the toys on his part of the table. We ate a delicious lunch, and then Hazen ate valentine candy the rest of the day!!!

my littles grew up
My little sweet boy is so big now! One night when I had to work, Hazen kept climbing out of his crib and escaping from his room. Jed didn't quite know what to do other than put him back to bed which soon became a game to Hazen. I got home from work at 11:00 p.m. and he was still running wild!! Needless to say we have switched him to a big boy bed!! Hazen calls it his good boy bed. He really really loves it. He helped us build it that night and loved jumping on it. He still climbs over the back of the bed like he did in the crib. He hasn't quite figured out there is an easier way out. He is sleeping really well. He goes right to sleep and doesn't even get out in the morning. He calls me to get him out. I think it is because of the trucks on his sheets. It was a much easier transition than I thought it would be. Next...potty training.

Be Cute Don't pollute!
This week jed has been on ob/gyn night float (5 pm to 8am), which really sucks!! So Hazen and I tried to get out of the house during the day so dad could sleep. One day we went to the mall and just hung out. He likes to play in the toy cars and he also likes to run down the mall with me chasing him. real cute. Anyway, can i just say that i love, love this shirt that neighbor ray and jennifer bought for hazen. They said it reminded them of jed as soon as they saw it. We like to be as earth friendly as we can at our house. I wish more people cared.
RSV, but at least we got SNOW!
I am really behind in the blogging thing, but I just wanted to show that it does snow in Lubbock Texas! For about 2 days it was freezing and snowy. We loved building a fire and cuddling next to it. After his bath, Hazen would only cuddle for a few minutes, then run off naked and all, to go play with his train set. Also, during this time Hazen had RSV. He handled it pretty well. He actually enjoyed "Dragon breathing" or using the nebulizer. He loved to breath out the mist and look like a fire breathing dragon. We did breathing treatments 2X and day for about 4 days, and then he was pretty much better. He was snuggly, which I loved. Is it bad to hope your child will get sick again just so you can cuddle them? Hazen is a hyper little thing. At his 2 year checkup he is only in the 15% for his weight. He really won't eat much, and he just runs and runs. Well, the snow is gone and it was 80 degrees yesterday. We did lots of yard work and enjoyed the sun.
